What did we do?
We designed and installed two cold rooms at the Composite Centre that matched the exact requirements needed. These walk-in rooms must be kept at a constant temperature, so the system fitted includes an alarm for rising temperatures.
The alarm system sends a text message to managers when the room hits a certain temperature, which should allow the team to prevent product wastage from damage.
How we did it
We visited Norco GRP’s facility to assess the site and get a better understanding of their needs.
In this discussion, we learnt that the materials required a specific temperature of -20°c. With this knowledge, we were able to recommend a suitable solution that included an alarm system to notify staff if the temperatures start rising.
We then went away to design the system and source all the parts needed to install the cold room.
With everything in order, we booked a week for the installation. Our team was efficient in the fitting process and completed the job in the timeframe we had given the client.
The installation included lining the space with energy-efficient insulation and lighting, as well as temperature controls that enable reactive actions should the temperatures start to increase.
The Result
Now, Norco GRP has walk-in freezer rooms measuring 12m by 6m by 3.3m which allows them to preserve materials at the highest standards.
It is part of their investment to expand their mission of delivering precision-engineered composite structures.
