The brief
Cool-Tec was tasked with recommending and installing an air conditioning unit for the bedroom of a south-facing house in Bridport.
The clients were having trouble sleeping in a hot room and needed an effective way to keep the room cool during the warm summer months. The air conditioning unit would need to run silently, to ensure the client and his wife benefitted from improved sleep.
The Solution

We advised that the client choose the installation of a wall-mounted split air conditioning system. These air conditioning units can be easily controlled by a remote control and are a standard choice for residential properties in hot countries.
Split air conditioning has two separate parts – an inside unit and outside unit – connected by pipes. The pipes transfer the cooling agent from the unit in the bedroom to the louder outside unit. Because the louder unit is installed outside, it doesn’t disrupt sleep.
The Result
The client was extremely pleased with the result. He emailed the next day to say that he and his wife had had their best night’s sleep in years. They applauded our professional and tidy work, giving an extremely positive round off to a job well done.
